Here you will find instructions on how to set everything up and an in-depth description of its possibilities.

⚠️ Take note: This widget is hosted on StreamElements and works only with StreamElements donations — make sure you have a StreamElements account before setting it up!


Setup Guide

  1. Log in to StreamElements with your Youtube or Twitch account
  2. Go to the “2. Widget” folder in the package you’ve downloaded
  3. Pick the file that corresponds to your streaming platform (Twitch or YouTube) and double-click to install it.


Voila! Your widget is installed!

Widget Customization

  1. Pick your widget in your StreamElements dashboard and click “Edit”

  2. Click on “Layers” and go to “Tamagotchi Goal”

  3. Go to the “Settings” tab

Customization Options

⚠️ IMPORTANT

For all of your customizations to take effect, you need to press "Save" in the top right corner of the editor and refresh the page before adding the widget to your streaming software!

Tamagotchi Settings

This widget is crafted with both convenience and flexibility in mind. For those looking to get started quickly, there are 6 premade design themes featuring custom colors and fonts, eliminating the need for detailed customization. If you're inclined to add a personal touch to the widget's appearance, simply select "Custom" in the "Tamagotchi Theme Selection" box. This option unlocks the ability to fine-tune every aspect of the widget's design to align with your personal style and brand.

Name Description
Tamagotchi Theme Selection Choose from predefined themes or select a customizable option
Tamagotchi Main Color 1 Determines the first primary color of your Tamagotchi's theme.
Tamagotchi Main Color 2 Sets the second primary color for additional contrast or harmony.
Tamagotchi Stroke Color Defines the outline color for your Tamagotchi.
Tamagotchi Screen Color Specifies the color of the Tamagotchi display area.
Tamagotchi Shadow Color Adjusts the color for shadows, adding depth and dimension.
Icon Stroke Color Alters the outline color of icons within the widget.
Icon Fill Color Changes the fill color of icons, complementing the theme or making them stand out.

Important Note: Selecting one of the premade themes will automatically set the following fields to theme-specific values: Main Color 1, Main Color 2, Stroke Color, Screen Color, Shadow Color, Icon Stroke Color, Icon Fill Color, Effect Progress Color, Effect Complete Color, Font Name, Label Color, and Count Color. To fully customize these aspects, make sure to choose the "Custom" theme.


Icon Settings

This widget is equipped with a variety of premade icons tailored to different goal types, ensuring that you can quickly find a visual match for the activity you're tracking. For those who desire a more personalized approach, the widget also provides the option to upload a custom image or an animated GIF. This feature allows you to infuse your widget with a unique flair that resonates with your personal or brand style.

Name Description
Icon Selection Choose from the available premade icons or a custom one.
Custom Icon Upload your own custom image or GIF as an icon.

Effect Settings

This widget enhances engagement with visually appealing effects that activate at key moments. There are two distinct effects to signify progress and completion of a goal. Each effect adds a dynamic layer to your stream, capturing the attention of your audience. You have the freedom to personalize these effects by altering their colors to fit the aesthetic of your stream or to convey a particular mood or theme.

Name Description
Effect Progress Color Customize the color of the effect for goal progression.
Effect Complete Color Select a distinct color to celebrate the achievement of a goal.

Goal Settings

This widget allows you to monitor a variety of goal types tailored to either Twitch or YouTube. For Twitch streams, you can track Followers, Subscribers, Cheers, and Tips. For YouTube, the widget supports Sponsors/Members, Subscribers, Superchats, and Tips. You're empowered to set the goal amount, personalize the goal message on the display, and choose from different display styles to best suit your stream's theme.

Name Description
Goal Type Select the goal you wish to track.
Goal Specify the target amount for the goal.
Goal Label Enter the text to be displayed on the widget.
Display Type Choose how to show the goal's progress—percentage, total number, or count out of the total.

Text Settings

You can refine the text elements of your widget to enhance readability and fit your channel's branding. From spacing to font selection, each setting is designed to give you full control over how text appears on your stream.

Name Description
Text Spacing Adjusts the gap between the label and the goal count.
Font Name Selects the typeface from the Google Fonts library.
Label Color Changes the color of the label text.
Label Weight Sets the thickness of the label font.
Label Size Determines the font size for the label.
Count Color Alters the color of the goal count text.
Count Weight Adjusts the thickness of the goal count font.
Count Size Specifies the font size for the goal count.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

How to Reset Goals

There’s a chance that you already used goal widgets on your stream before, or maybe there was something that messed up your data or, obviously, you reached your goals and want to start from scratch, here’s what you need to do to ensure everything works as intended

  1. Press the settings icon located in the top right corner of your screen.

  2. Navigate to the "Session Data" section.

  3. Click on "Reset Goals”
  4. Confirm by clicking "Save Changes" and then close the window.
  5. Finally, click "SAVE" in the top right corner of your screen and refresh the page.

Troubleshooting

At times, the widget may not reflect the most current data, displaying an incorrect goal count. This is often due to a delay in channel data updates. To resolve this and sync the latest information, please follow the steps below:

  1. Press the settings icon located in the top right corner of your screen.

  2. Navigate to the "Session Data" section.

  3. Click on "Reset Session".

  4. Confirm by clicking "Save Changes" and then close the window.
  5. Finally, click "SAVE" in the top right corner of your screen and refresh the page.

By following these instructions, your widget should display the correct goal amounts, reflecting the most up-to-date data from your channel.

How to Add it to the Streaming Software?

OBS Studio

  1. Copy the URL of your Widget from the StreamElements dashboard
  2. Open OBS Studio
  3. Click “Add Source” (plus icon) in the Sources section.
  4. Add a “Browser” source, give it a name, and press “Ok”
  5. Paste the URL you’ve copied
  6. Set the width to 1920 and the height to 1080
  7. Press “Ok” and we’re done!

Streamlabs Desktop

  1. Copy the URL of your Widget from the StreamElements dashboard
  2. Open Streamlabs Desktop
  3. Click “Add a new Source” (plus icon) in the Sources section.
  4. Choose “Browser Source”, give it a name, and press “Add Source”.
  5. Paste the URL you’ve copied previously
  6. Set the width to 1920 and the height to 1080
  7. Now press “Close” and that’s it! Your widget is ready to use!
