Adding Overlays on Mac
Are you streaming on Mac and want to import the overlay you've just got? Check out this guide on how to set everything up!
Take a Note!
OBS Studio works a bit differently on Mac so in order to properly import the overlay scene you need to follow a few extra steps described below.
Streamlabs .OVERLAY
- Launch Streamlabs OBS and go to "Settings"
- Press the "Import Overlay File" button under the "Scene Collections" tab
- Locate and click the .overlay file in the "2. Quick Install\Streamlabs" folder of your stream package
- Woo-hoo! Everything is set up in your Scene Collection
OBS Studio .JSON
- Extract the contents of your downloaded stream package to any folder
- Launch OBS Studio
- Open the "Scene Collection" tab and press "Import"
- Press the "Add" button and navigate to "2. Quick Install\OBS Studio\"
- Locate and double-click the .json file from the folder
- Press "Import"
- Switch to your imported scene in the "Scene Collection" tab
- Press "Search Folder..." in the "Missing Files" window that popped up
- Navigate to "3. Individual Files" and open these folders one by one:
- "3. Individual Files > Overlays"
- "3. Individual Files > Screens"
- "3. Individual Files > Other"
- "3. Individual Files > Icons > Icons_300x300"
- Check if all files have a "Detected" state and press "Apply" when you're done
- Congratulations! Your Package is ready to use
Please note, that OBS Studio disables your webcam by default and you need to re-enable it in your Webcam Source settings
